How to Use the Dial Phone

An example of basic training for the first self-serve cloud service.

The transition from operator to self-service required teaching new practices like “dialing”, use of a “phone-book” and what is a “dial tone”.

“0” was the help-line to the operator.

What is intuitive to a young generation is not to to an older generation.

What is happening with cloud services is that a new generation is building, thinking and finding opportunities that the data center generation cannot even comprehend.
