There’s a lot of interesting cloud articles out there. These caught my eye and I shared with colleagues.

AWS Migration Hub Orchestrator – New Migration Orchestration Capability with Customizable Workflow Templates – Migration is a big focus for all hyperscalers, and they continue to invest in delivering tools to simplify and reduce costs. These latest release from AWS brings standardized workflow patterns to remove manual steps in large scale apps.

I like this case study about Expedia’s platform; it very much mirrors what other clients will face. “Expedia Group has over 200+ travel sites in 70+ countries that offer 5+ million properties, as well as 500+ Airlines. To support this, Expedia Group runs over 9,000 applications managed by 650 engineering teams across 400+ AWS accounts that utilize tens of database technologies. Each of these accounts has different automation levels to provision and manage data infrastructure.” How Expedia Group built Database as a Service (DBaaS) offering using AWS Service Catalog

You might want to subscribe to the Azure Cost Management page. It’s a great way to keep up with the latest techniques for optimization and to learn all the changes in Azure that impact costs or opportunities for cost savings. Or even easier, follow on Twitter as I do.

Finally, if you are network security curious, and who isn’t, this sort of primer to the fundamentals of AWS network security is good.  A complicated area made a little easier by a well written introduction.
